Create FTP Site

  • Open Internet Manager
  • Select the computer name
  • Right Click, Add FTP Site

  • Type Name
  • Type Path
  • Click Next

  • Optionally select the SSL certificate information.  In our example, we selected Allow SSL
  • Click Next

  • Select Basic
  • Select Allow access to Specific roles and user groups
  • Type ADFTPUsers
  • Select Read and Write in permissions
  • Click Finish

Post Configuration

In the FTP configuration section.  There are 2 or 3 modules that need additional configuration

  • Select FTP Authentication
  • Configure the Default domain to your NetBIOS name

  • Select FTP Firewall Support (if you are using a firewall, if not you can skip this step)
  • Type 4900 - 4910  (These ports can be anything, these are needed to support PASV connections)
  • Type Primary IP address of server

  • Select FTP User Isolation, select Active Directory
  • Click Set and type the ADFTPReadOnly Active Directory user credentials
  • Click OK
  • Click Apply
  • The username will show in the gray textbox

  • Open the Services applet and restart the Microsoft FTP Publishing service
